Job summary

MNP is seeking an Associate in Valuations to deliver independent business valuations for a range of client challenges. You will work with cross-functional teams, develop valuation models, and support advisory engagements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business (accounting or finance), CPA preferred, and working toward CBV, with about 3 years in professional services and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting or finance major).
• CPA designation preferred.
• Working towards CBV designation.
• 3 years of professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and valuations.
• Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams or clients across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Participate in business valuations, intellectual property valuations, fairness opinions, financial modelling and purchase price allocations.
• Interact with client management, stakeholders, legal counsel and financial advisors.
• Conduct industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions.
• Prepare valuation models, projections, forecasts and other technical based analyses.
• Design and develop high-quality deliverables including engagement letters, reports and presentations.
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow.

Responsibilities

• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure client needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
• Work collaboratively with the client engagement team
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business (accounting or finance major)
• CPA designation is preferred
• Working towards a CBV designation
• 3 years of professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and valuations
• Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams or clients across Canada
