Job summary

Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Treasury Associate to manage a high volume of treasury transactions, including foreign currency exchanges, wire transfers, bill payments, and EFTs. You will reconcile bank accounts, journal entries, and resolve variances in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in treasury, strong Excel/Google Sheets skills, and knowledge of banking products and regulations. Kyriba experience is a plus; Bloomberg familiarity is an asset.

We’re looking for our next Treasury Associate. Could It Be You?

The Treasury Associate will serve as a subject matter expert in the timely processing of a high volume of treasury transactions, including foreign currency exchanges, wire transfers, bill payments, and electronic funds transfers (EFTs). Responsibilities also include reconciliation of bank accounts, journal entries, and resolving variance discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering accurate and high-quality work under pressure. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in a treasury role, proficiency in Excel and Google Sheet, and strong understanding of banking products, processes, and relevant regulations. Experience with Kyriba is a plus.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to...

• Processing high-volume incoming and outgoing payments in multiple currencies to vendors, counterparties, and clients. Reconcile daily bank statements against the general ledger (GL), reconcile assigned clearing accounts, and ensure daily collateral requirements are met with counterparties.
• Reviewing deposits for discrepancies, confirm trades, and resolve client inquiries by collaborating with internal departments.
• Preparing journal entries for daily fund movements and supporting production of regular reports for management.
• Monitoring, responding to, and resolving client cases and queries efficiently through the INH pod. Collaborate and partner effectively with diverse internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Risk, AML, Tax, and Finance) to resolve operational or regulatory banking challenges.
• Supporting the Treasury team on various ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives as required. Perform other administrative functions including maintaining and writing policies and procedures.

• Have a minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services or brokerage industry, with a strong background in bank account management, banking operations, or finance.
• Have a proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams including Legal, AML, Tax, and Finance.
• Are an independent worker and analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and resolve complex transactional or system problems.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of banking operations, products, services and relevant regulations.
• Have exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage confidential information, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Have well-developed computer skills and proficient in Excel & Google Sheets.

• Are highly motivated, proactive individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Have a demonstrated deep technical proficiency and expert-level knowledge of Kyriba or similar treasury management tools. Knowledge of Bloomberg is an asset.
• CSC and CPH completion is an asset

Compensation Information:

• Base salary range: $70,000 -75,000 $
