Jobtailor is seeking a winter 2027 internship focused on user research and product discovery. You will conduct conversations with product users, identify friction, and translate insights into actionable requirements and prototypes.
As part of the Mitacs program, you will collaborate with top Canadian universities and the product team to iterate based on real user feedback and support releases with AI-enabled tooling.
Conduct user research and discovery through conversations with product users
Identify user friction and translate findings into actionable insights
Create clear notes, summaries, and decision-supporting write-ups
Translate research into user stories, requirements, wireframes, and prototypes
Support testing and feedback cycles
Build rough prototypes and present them to users using AI tooling
Assist with product releases
Draft release notes and communicate changes to clients
Follow up with clients after releases
Share learnings and identify improvements
Work with the product team on a platform used by real clients
Use AI and agentic tools to inform product decisions
Demonstrates a strong understanding of user research methodologies and the product lifecycle, with the ability to translate insights into actionable user stories and prototypes. Proficient in using AI tooling to enhance product management and client communication.
