Job description

Are you an Associate Procurement Manager with adequate and relevant experience in the field? This 12-month contract role may be a right fit for you.

Position Summary:

The Associate PPM role will support Bids and Project PPM on high complexity projects and/or manage low complexity projects for the entire procurement cycle.

The main responsibility is to plan and manage equipment procurement to streamline and secure the entire supply chain for assigned projects.

Responsibilities
Bid phase
  • Support the Bid PPM to prepare and maintain the Acquisition Procurement Plan for assigned proposals.
  • Prepare and maintain the Acquisition Plan for low complexity projects or extensions for existing customers.
  • Support the Bid PPM and the Category team to identify potential sources of supply for proposals.
  • Identify procurement risks related to equipment and provide assessments and mitigation under Bid PPM supervision.
  • Optimize purchasing mix (cost, schedule) for the assigned proposals.
  • Launch RFQ with the Category Manager team in support of the proposal as defined in the Industrial Project Procurement plan.
Design/Manufacture Phase
  • Execute project procurement through implementation of the Acquisition Project Procurement plan, ensuring convergence of risks, costs, and lead times.
  • Manage the process leading to timely authorization to purchase or manufacture project equipment including spares.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure hardware designs are released on time to enable procurement of required materials.
  • Coordinate activities related to supply chain execution with the Project Supply Chain Lead.
  • Act as a project Supply Chain Lead for assigned projects.
  • Participate in change management to ensure design changes are processed timely and impacts recorded.
Qualifications
Skills and Abilities:
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management or project-based organizations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills for daily relations, negotiations, and reporting.
Education:

Bachelor's or college degree, preferably with a scientific background and additional business education or experience.
