What is the opportunity?
The primary purpose of this position is to perform daily oversight on complex processes, provide analysis, and customer service support for exception-based, complex, and/or highly specialized operational processes. The incumbent will review, verify, and record data into technology systems supporting department processes. Additionally, they will research, resolve, or secure requested information for other operational areas, RBC business units, external customers, or industry participants.
What will you do?
- Provide accurate analysis and processing support for exception-based, complex, and/or highly specialized processes within a specific operational department. Review, verify, and record data into supporting technology systems. Understand department procedures and accountabilities, referring to manuals for instructions and task assignments.
- Liaise and support customers requiring research, problem resolution, or information from other departments, business units, external customers, or industry participants. Address escalated questions independently, seeking assistance from team leads or managers as needed following department procedures.
- Suggest process changes and system modifications to reduce risk or improve efficiency.
- Support manual, exception-based, complex, and highly specialized processes within a specific operations department, ensuring accurate data review, verification, and recording.
- Train and serve as a resource for other team members.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- At least 1 year of experience in securities, banking, technology, or a related industry.
- A 4-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Nice to Have
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Understanding and ability to meet daily support needs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Customer service skills.
