Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking an Associate, Operations - Data Entry Operator to ensure accuracy and completeness of client onboarding, account maintenance, and servicing in Wealth Management Canada Operations.

You will review regulatory requirements (KYC/AML/QI/FATCA/CRS), address discrepancies, and support risk management through precise data handling and process improvements. This role emphasizes attention to detail, strong communication, and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university.
  • 1+ years of operations, securities, Wealth Management industry experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working with large data sets and complex processes.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with presentation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and risk-management mindset.
  • Strong critical thinking and ability to propose innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate processing support for standardized and/or manual processes.
  • Review, verify and record data into technology supporting department processes.
  • Understand department procedures and required accountabilities.
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for research, problem resolution, or obtaining information.
  • Maintain department documentation and keep procedures up-to-date.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What will you do?
  • Provide accurate processing support for standardized and/or manual processes within a specific Operations department.
  • Accurately review, verify and/or record data into technology supporting department processes.
  • Understand department procedures and required accountabilities in the area or department in which the incumbent works.
  • Liaise and provide customer service support for individuals requiring research, problem resolution, or securing information from other Operation’s departments and Business Units.
  • Maintain department documentation, ensuring procedures, policies, and guidelines are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • 1+ years of operations, securities, Wealth Management industry experience
  • 1+ years of experience working with large data sets and complex processes
  • Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills. Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk management mindset.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to propose innovative solutions.
Nice-to-have
  • Prior experience/knowledge of KYC/AML/QI/FATCA/CRS documentation processing, policies and regulatory rules, and other regulatory requirements (CIRO, OSFI, IRS, etc.)
  • Reporting and tracking capabilities using tools such as MS Excel (advanced formulas/pivot tables/macros), Power BI, Access.
