Job summary

MUFG Investor Services in Canada is seeking a Senior Associate to deliver fund administration services for private market clients focused on real assets. You will maintain ledgers, prepare financial and investor reporting, and support accounting and operations on the Yardi platform.

The role serves as a primary contact for clients, auditors, and internal teams, ensuring timely reporting and adherence to deadlines while contributing to process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred or in progress
  • At least 2 years' experience working in the fund administration industry or audit
  • Experience working with real asset structures (Property, REIT, SPV, JV, Co-Invest)
  • Experience with Yardi or other accounting software

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for assigned real asset funds utilizing Yardi.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE).
  • Process capital activity calculations and notices, including capital calls and distributions.
  • Perform NAV calculations, prepare investor-level reporting, and conduct management and carried interest computations.
  • Coordinate and review property-level data, valuations, and performance metrics for consolidation at the Fund level.
  • Review and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
  • Support the annual audit and tax processes by liaising with auditors, tax advisors, and clients as required.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to enhancements of systems and workflows within Yardi and related tools.
  • Mentor junior team members and review their work to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and prompt resolution of queries.

Job Description

The Senior Associate will play a key role in the delivery of fund administration services to private market clients with a focus on real asset structures.
