As part of our growth, we are excited to offer a new Associate Medical Director position to join our leadership team in the Inland Empire region.

Overview:

The Associate Medical Director (AMD) is part of the clinical leadership team, providing guidance to develop infrastructure and oversee performance management of population health and medical initiatives in the Inland Empire. The AMD will also focus on building and maintaining a network of high-quality providers within the region. Working closely with operational leadership, they will ensure the relevance of clinician compensation structures. The role includes supporting the hiring and performance management of employed clinicians and overseeing community physician leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supervise IPA (Independent Physician Associate) clinicians and employed/group clinicians regarding risk adjustment, quality metrics, utilization management, patient satisfaction, and inpatient metrics within a value-based care model.
  • Serve as a liaison for communication with physicians, hospitals, and other providers in the community.
  • Participate in committees related to quality improvement, peer review, specialty networks, contracting, and credentialing.
  • Support affordability strategies such as inpatient management, high-risk member management, and site of service optimization for specialists.
  • Assist in recruiting employed physicians and other specialty services as needed to serve the region.
  • Collaborate with local site leadership to address clinical concerns and quality of care issues.
  • Meet with clinicians individually and in groups to support the IPA and employed clinicians, providing data to identify opportunities and enhance performance.
  • Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements tailored to the region’s needs.
  • Oversee local site physician leaders for the IPA and employed/group sites.
  • Work with operations partners to achieve goals set by senior leadership, including quality measures, risk adjustment, affordability, and access.
