The Work

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Personal Banking Growth, the Associate Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, is responsible for supporting key engagement initiatives and managing the end-to-end implementation and evaluation of product marketing campaigns and automated lifecycle journeys for EQ Bank. This role involves executing customer-facing communications to drive engagement KPIs—including customer onboarding and activation, deposit balance growth, product/feature adoption, and primary banking behaviors—while leveraging creative resources, analytics, and CX insights.

The Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives supporting onboarding, funding, product adoption, and deposit growth.
  • Build and optimize automated customer journeys across lifecycle stages, including message development, testing, and reporting.
  • Manage the creative development process, including writing creative briefs and ensuring flawless execution of marketing campaigns. Work closely with internal agencies, product partners, and legal/compliance teams to deliver innovative and impactful programs for our customers.
  • Use data-driven analysis and customer insights to test messaging and channels, continuously improving performance.
  • Advocate for the customer within the marketing team, ensuring high-quality interactions across all lifecycle stages and channels.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders such as Legal, Compliance, Contact Centre, and Operations to ensure alignment on communication and timing.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care, CX, and Product teams to identify and address customer pain points, ensuring an omni-channel customer experience.

Let's Talk About You

  • 3–5 years of experience in lifecycle or email marketing, with familiarity in CRM software (e.g., MS Dynamics or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and CASL regulations.
  • Strong understanding of customer communication principles, including clarity, tone, and relevance across various touchpoints.
  • Experience developing clear, focused creative briefs and providing actionable feedback to translate campaign objectives into effective communications.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and conduct A/B testing to inform strategies.
  • Passion for customer insights and communications to achieve business objectives.
  • Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Self-starter capable of managing projects independently and building relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment with a track record of delivering results.
  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Commerce, or related fields.
  • Financial Services experience is an asset.
