Job summary

OpenTable, based in Toronto, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team. You will support consolidated P&A oversight, report to the Manager of FP&A, and provide data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions in a fast-paced environment.

You will partner with Marketing, Product, and Accounting to optimize resources, build detailed financial models, and drive automation across financial systems to improve accuracy and scalability. Hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years FP&A or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for leadership presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning process including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Analyze KPIs, identify trends, and create executive dashboards for leadership.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Accounting to assess financial impacts.
  • Build financial models to evaluate ROI for new products and growth initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional work streams for timely delivery and alignment with goals.
  • Identify opportunities to automate financial systems and improve reporting.

About the job

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team and support consolidated P&A oversight. Reporting to OpenTable's Manager of FP&A, this high-visibility role provides direct exposure to senior leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in leveraging data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions, optimize resource allocation, and enhance business performance across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial planning process-including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning-to deliver actionable insights for business performance.
  • Analyze key performance metrics, identify trends, and translate complex financial data into clear reports and executive dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Product, and Accounting to assess financial impacts, evaluate business opportunities, and optimize resources.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate return on investment for new products, growth initiatives, and market expansions.
  • Drive work streams for cross-functional strategic projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with long-term company goals.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize financial systems, reporting, and analysis to improve accuracy and scalability.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis using spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets or Excel).
  • Proven track record of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex insights to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with specialized financial planning software (e.g., Pigment or OneStream).
  • Proven ability to independently identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work streams and coordinating deliverables across multi-department teams.

The expected range of compensation for this position based in Toronto, Canada, is $88,000-$96,000 CAD. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a compensation range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.

This role is eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
