Ritch Williams & Richards is seeking an Associate Lawyer (4+ years) to join our boutique litigation team in downtown Halifax, focusing on insurance defence and marine law. You will handle own files with increasing autonomy, work directly with clients, and contribute to complex matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with a Canadian provincial bar, preferably the Nova Scotia Bar (or eligible for admission to the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society)
• At least 4+ years of litigation experience, preferably insurance defence
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
• Sound judgment, attention to detail, and professionalism
• A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
• A genuine interest in litigation and a desire to build and grow your own practice

Responsabilités

Associate Lawyer (4+ Years) – Insurance Defence Litigation

Ritch Williams & Richards is a boutique litigation firm based in downtown Halifax, focused on insurance defence and marine law. We act for leading national and international insurers on complex and high-value matters. We are seeking a motivated Associate Lawyer (with 4+ years’ of experience) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys litigation, takes ownership of their files, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients, take on meaningful responsibility, and continue building your practice alongside an experienced and supportive team.

What You’ll Do
