Job summary

The Co-operators Group in Canada is seeking an Associate Insurance Advisor II to support the agency operation through sales and service of personal lines products, including auto and home. You will use your knowledge of insurance products to advise clients and tailor coverages to their needs.

In this role you will prospect for new business, complete risk assessments, and ensure underwriter guidelines are followed while delivering excellent client service and achieving agency sales and growth

Qualifications

  • 1 year sales and service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of auto and home insurance products is an asset.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Sales, service and profitable growth of personal lines (Home & Auto).
  • Advise and recommend coverages and policies that meet client needs.
  • Prospect for all lines of business and introduce additional products/services.
  • Complete front line risk assessment and follow underwriting guidelines.
  • Respond to client questions and resolve issues; conduct client reviews on auto and home.

The Associate Insurance Advisor II is a key player in the support and development of the agency operation primarily through sales and service. This role utilizes a broad knowledge of The Co-operators insurance products and services including personal lines (auto and home).

How you will create impact:

Sales, service and profitable growth of both personal lines products (Home & Auto)

Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs.

Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.

Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines.

Complete inspections and re-inspections.

Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals.

Proactively complete client reviews on the auto and home

Other Than Life license is required.

  • Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education to obtain and maintain all licenses.
  • One (1) year sales and service experience or related business experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and experience with selling techniques is an asset

  • You are required to have a valid driver's license and insurance

Salary information

Expected salary range $43,550 to $72,583

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
