Job summary

CGIC is seeking versatile insurance professionals to join the Client Contact Centre in a regular full-time, office-based role. You will quote and sell auto and property insurance, advise clients on coverage, and identify additional products to meet client needs in a fast-paced call environment.

You should have post-secondary education, strong communication skills, and customer service or sales experience; insurance licensing is required with CIP designation pursued as a priority.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education completed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer service and sales experience preferred.
  • Licensed to operate insurance per provincial requirements.
  • Willing to pursue CIP designation (CIP C130/C131).

Responsibilities

  • Quote and sell basic automobile and property insurance to clients in accordance with sales quality call flow, processes and underwriting guidelines.
  • Advise clients on coverage choices to meet their needs with guidance as needed.
  • Identify and recommend additional products/services that benefit the client.
  • Provide frontline underwriting during client transactions to determine quotation eligibility.
  • Aim to meet goals for customer service, sales, quality and productivity.

How You Will Create Impact


  • Quote and sell basic automobile and property insurance to clients in accordance with the sales quality call flow, sales processes and underwriting guidelines.

  • Advise and coach clients on what type of coverage/policy would best meet their needs with some guidance as needed.

  • Identify and make recommendations for additional products/services that benefit the client.

  • Provide fundamental front line underwriting during client transactions and in determining whether a client qualifies for a quotation.

  • Achieve set goals for customer service, sales, quality and productivity with guidance.

  • You have completed post-secondary education.

  • You are committed to self development and actively looking to learn.

  • You showcase strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Having customer service and sales experience is preferred.

  • Having insurance or inbound contact center experience is an asset.

  • You meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses.

  • You are willing to pursue the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation with priority given to the successful completion of C130 and C131 courses.

Expected salary range $43,550 - $72,583


The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.


Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
