The Nature Conservancy in Canada seeks an Associate HR Director to lead a geographically dispersed HR team across Canada and the Western United States. You will partner with senior leaders to define and implement strategic HR direction aligned with our conservation mission and values.

They will partner with other members of the WUSCAN HR team and People Team to collaboratively share responsibility for designing, developing and implementing innovative People practices aligned with TNC values, strategies and goals. They are experts in Canadian employment law and HR practices and are accountable for delivering relevant support and counsel for the full employee lifecycle in assigned Business Units that are geographically dispersed across Canada and the Western United States. They implement these People Team initiatives to ensure consistency in support of a global, decentralized and geographically dispersed enterprise. This role will supervise a small team of HR professionals supporting WUSCAN and leading the optimization of a new HR operating model in service of the business units. This position may only be based in a Canadian province/territory where TNC is registered (Ontario, Alberta, Northwest Territories). The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $165,000– $170,000 CAD for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is Canada. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
