Job summary

Mondelez International in Toronto, Canada, seeks an Associate Engineer I to lead process design and deployment for innovation, growth, and productivity initiatives. You will work with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing to deliver consumer‑focused solutions and manage risks through simulations and pilot trials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering or Chemical Engineering or related Engineering disciplines.
  • Al least 3 years of expereince in R&D, product & process development is a must.
  • Experience in fast-moving consumer goods is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement process design and deployment for Innovation, Growth and Productivity projects.
  • Collaborate with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing to meet consumer experience goals.
  • Conduct process development including scale-up, commissioning and risk assessments.
  • Plan resources, manage stakeholders and communicate progress and risks.

As part of that planning process, you will conduct activities to generate the appropriate process information, using modelling, simulations, and pilot plant and plant trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements. You will also plan and conduct process development activities including process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning, technical risk assessments and create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications. In this role, you will assist in planning the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies, and manage stakeholders, making recommendations and influencing decisions based on analysis and interpretation of data.
