POSITION SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Gift Planning (ADGP) position is a recognized Gift Planning role supporting the Director of Gift Planning (DGP) and Senior Director of Gift Planning/Mentor (SDGP/M). The primary purpose is to support DGPs in achieving their annual Gift Activity goals by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, securing, and stewarding individual donors and targeted deferred gifts. ADGPs will implement each DGP's Forecast and Marketing Plans (FMP).

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A strong desire to serve donors and team members.
  • A desire to learn, grow, and work collaboratively to achieve goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, finance, or related field; advanced degrees or certifications such as CFP, MBA, JD, CPA, CSPG, or CAP are preferred.
  • Comfortable discussing financial or legal concepts.
  • Ability to develop creative presentation options.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and record-keeping abilities.
  • Self-motivated, articulate, goal-oriented, able to work under pressure, and a team player or independent worker.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with ability to learn CRM and other software.
  • Willingness to travel for training, conferences, and face-to-face donor visits.
ADGP DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management:
  • Support all gift planning activities within the assigned area.
  • Build relationships with Corps Officers and staff.
  • Assist donors in establishing life-income plans.
  • Maintain stewardship for living bequest donors.
  • Keep accurate donor records.
  • Visit donors, advisors, and Corps as directed.
  • Build relationships with professionals like CPAs, CFPs, and attorneys.
  • Collaborate with staff for excellent donor service.
Metrics:
  • Coordinate at least two gift planning proposals weekly.
  • Make at least ten substantive calls weekly.
  • Send at least twenty written communications weekly.
  • Participate in seminars and report activities in CRM and gift reports.
Marketing:
  • Complete and update annual Forecast and Marketing Plan.
  • Implement DGP's FMP as directed.
  • Work with staff and vendors on marketing activities.
Training:
  • Participate in monthly and annual training sessions, including technical conferences.
Other:
  • Operate within division policies and standards.
  • Adhere to gift acceptance policies.
  • Avoid legal commitments or personal gains related to donor contacts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Tasks include walking, standing, climbing, lifting up to 60 pounds, and operating electronic devices. Vision and mobility requirements are specified.

COMMUNICATION:

Must communicate professionally via various channels, including verbal, written, and technological means.

RELIGIOUS PURPOSES:

Driving is required; valid license and successful screening are mandatory.
