The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on financial transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As an Associate Director on the Specialized Transactions and Products, Legal team in Toronto (part of the Financial Markets division at National Bank of Canada), you will act as an expert advisor in the sector, ensuring compliance of business practices related to mortgage aggregation, asset acquisition and finance, securitizations, and derivatives with regulatory requirements. You will provide high-quality legal services, manage legal, regulatory, and reputational risks, and advise on legal matters in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with a team of 15 lawyers and paralegals in Toronto and Montreal, reporting to the Managing Director, who is also based in Toronto. The team is known for its efficiency, responsiveness, expertise, and dynamism.
