Associate Director, Asset and Liability Management

Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director (AD) oversees SIRR/IRRBB globally by ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. They manage the production of SIRR GAP, NII, EVE, KRDs, and Stress Testing reports under B12 (IRRBB), ensuring accurate identification and explanation of the Bank's SIRR position and exposure, and consistent methodology application.

The AD leads data science initiatives supporting data-driven decision-making in ALM/SIRR through data collection, analysis, visualization, model development, and reporting. They spearhead the integration of modern technology, including cloud-based solutions, to improve scalability, flexibility, and efficiency. They develop and maintain SIRR/IRRBB reports using Power BI, Python, and AI tools, providing timely insights to executives and stakeholders.

The role also involves managing RDARR-related processes, JIRA workflows, and other BAU IT tasks, along with enhancing data systems to adapt to product changes, system migrations, and regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced SIRR/IRRBB reporting platforms using Power BI, Python, and cloud solutions.
  • Optimize SIRR/IRRBB techniques and functionalities within software applications.
  • Assess application performance and recommend improvements to meet business and regulatory needs.
  • Collaborate with vendors on system upgrades and performance enhancements.
  • Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency.
  • Train team members on modern tools like Python and Power BI.
  • Drive initiatives in AI and machine learning to enhance analytics systems.
  • Support other ADs in reporting, stress testing, and disclosures.
  • Maintain internal controls over reporting processes.
  • Participate in projects to incorporate regulatory and market changes.
  • Ensure documentation reflects current processes and methodologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or Computer Science.
  • 5-10 years in data science, including management, analysis, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Experience with data modeling and analytics.
  • Knowledge of ALM tools like BancWare or QRM.
  • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
