The Canadian DoorDash Dasher Logistic team focuses on supplying roads with the right Dashers to fulfill demand, reinvesting efficiencies from Dasher costs and Active efficiency to fuel growth.

About the Role

The Strategy & Operations Associate role is for self-motivated, curious, and ownership-minded individuals who think through a dasher-first lens, thrive on solving complex problems using data, collaborate across all levels of the organization, and execute their ideas efficiently.

We are hiring an Associate for our Dasher Logistics team in Canada to manage Dasher efficiency on the road. The key metric is optimizing the number of deliveries completed per active hour. The role involves bringing ideas, managing day-to-day operations, and driving scalable results.

You will investigate root causes behind efficiency movements and ensure accurate future forecasting. You will own end-to-end tests, rollouts, and process or product implementations to meet forecasts.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners across marketing, finance, analytics, product, and engineering. Strong communication skills are essential, including assigning actions and deliverables. You will also work with international partners to share learnings and adopt best practices.

Our work environment is hybrid, based in downtown Toronto with opportunities for travel.

What You'll Do

• Analyze: Assess operational and financial impacts, build models, frameworks, and processes based on data.
• Strategize: Develop strategies from first principles to improve operational efficiency and delivery quality.
• Build: Contribute to all DoorDash operations, launching initiatives and improving processes daily.
• Lead and Collaborate: Manage cross-functional projects across geographies to ensure success.
• Experiment: Run tests, scale insights, and navigate multiple pathways in a competitive market.

Ideal Candidate

• Operator: Skilled in managing complex projects and translating high-level goals into actions.
• Data Enthusiast: Comfortable working with large datasets, SQL, and solving problems logically.
• Experience: 2+ years in operations, technology, consulting, analytics, or related fields, with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Results-Oriented: Able to prioritize, communicate, execute, and synthesize effectively.
• Curious and Resilient: Eager to learn, adaptable to change, and capable of operating under ambiguity.
• Team Player and Collaborator: Works well with others, shares information proactively, and balances individual and company goals.
