About The Job

Responsible for processing and tracking orders received via phone, fax, EDI, or mail. Acts as a liaison with internal departments to communicate shipment and delivery schedules to customers. Handles customer inquiries regarding shipment tracing, shortages, overages, quality issues, late shipments, etc. Processes all necessary documentation and maintains files in accordance with SOX compliance and departmental policies.

This is a 6-MONTH CONTRACT

Daily Responsibilities include:

1. Managing order input into JDE, including prices, terms, product details, quantities, and special instructions. Completing sales order paperwork and maintaining system accuracy regarding ship dates and order changes.
2. Participating with the Customer Service Team to maintain call service standards.
3. Ensuring SOX compliance, verifying and filing necessary documents, and maintaining customer files.
4. Collaborating with internal supply chain departments to update customers proactively on order status and product knowledge.
5. Coordinating truck deliveries with Traffic department at certain locations.
6. Managing returned goods with Sales/Manager approval, completing product returns or invoice adjustments accurately.
7. Maintaining daily contact with Sales regarding pricing inquiries, PO discrepancies, and order updates.
8. Participating in inventory counts.
9. Maintaining up-to-date price books, initiating price increases, and ensuring implementation in invoicing systems.
10. Making outgoing calls to current and prospective customers to maximize orders, reporting competitive activities, and processing sample requests.

Qualifications:

• Passion for customer service.
• Three years of customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
