Kibbi Technologies Inc. in downtown Toronto is seeking a Senior Associate to join the construction litigation team.

You will work on complex matters with experienced professionals, delivering strategic and thoughtful legal solutions in a collaborative setting. The role focuses on construction disputes, lien and trust claims, and adjudication matters, with opportunities to lead files, contribute to multi-disciplinary litigation, and advance your advocacy and leadership skills in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of construction litigation or dispute resolution experience.
• Working knowledge of the Construction Act (liens, holdbacks, trust claims, prompt payment and adjudication) an asset.
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Sound professional judgment and attention to detail.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach.
• Demonstrated commitment to high-quality work.
• Interest in ongoing professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a broad range of construction dispute matters from strategy through resolution.
• Lead and assist with construction lien and trust claims, delay and deficiency disputes, and contract disputes.
• Advise on and advance matters under the Construction Act, including prompt-payment and adjudication proceedings.
• Contribute to litigation, arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution proceedings.
• Take independent carriage of files with appropriate autonomy.
• Collaborate with lawyers across multiple practice areas on multi-disciplinary matters.
