What We Need:

As an Associate Automation Solutions Architect, you will drive the identification and assessment of automation solutions using Intelligent Automation tools and technologies. You will design solutions, collaborate with lead engineers, and work closely with business stakeholders, process owners, and senior management to identify automation opportunities, design complex solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. You will leverage your technical and leadership skills to oversee IA COE efforts, ensuring IA tools, development, and deployments adhere to standards set by Enterprise Architecture.

Your extensive experience in solution architecture will guide the team, manage project timelines, and ensure scalable, effective automation solutions. You will coordinate with technical teams to maintain platform stability and ensure processes deliver long-term value to stakeholders.

Your Day to Day:

  • Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and analysts to understand requirements and design software solutions.
  • Work with business SMEs and management to identify automation opportunities to increase capacity.
  • Assess process complexity and how automation can address business challenges.
  • Calculate ROI of automation once in production.
  • Determine if current automation stack can meet business needs.
  • Implement best practices in software engineering lifecycle to simplify system integration.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides.
  • Present solutions to enterprise architects for approval.
  • Create architecture diagrams using tools like Miro, Visio.
  • Stay familiar with BCBSMA IT systems to inform strategic decisions.
  • Keep up with current trends, experiment with new technologies, and engage with external communities.
  • Ensure automation solutions comply with security and standards.
  • Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders or vendors using agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Coach and mentor team members in developing scalable, secure applications.

We're Looking for:

  • Knowledge of Intelligent Automation products (RPA, IDP, Chatbot) and BPM platforms (Pega, Appian, Kissflow). Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience in implementing automation or BPM solutions, preferably in healthcare or customer-facing domains.
  • Proven ability to implement complex solutions across technologies to deliver value.
  • Healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Experience in BPM product design and implementation.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or related field; a master's is preferred.
  • Minimum 8+ years leading agile projects, working closely with leadership to develop solutions.
  • 7+ years hands-on experience with programming (Java, .NET, C++, Python) and database programming (Oracle, Postgres).
  • Expertise in Headless API design.
  • Cloud transformation experience.
  • Basic knowledge of AI and Machine Learning.
