IBM Computing is seeking an Associate Cloud Developer to join its Calgary team. This role involves designing and developing scalable web applications, working on full stack development, and implementing cloud-based solutions. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and proficiency in modern development tools and frameworks.

Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

As an Associate Cloud Developer, you will be able to:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications.
Handle full stack development tasks, including front-end user interface, server-side logic, databases, and APIs.
Develop and implement cloud-based solutions utilizing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Create responsive, mobile-first front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Required technical and professional expertise
Required Qualifications:
Eligibility to work in Canada without future visa sponsorship (valid work permit, permanent residency, or Canadian citizenship).
Willingness to live and work in Calgary, AB.

Frontend Development:
Proficiency in ReactJS and/or AngularJS
Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript
Backend Development:
Experience with one or more: Java (Spring Boot), .NET (C#), Node.js
Cloud Platforms (any one or more):
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Databases:
Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
Additional Skills:
RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture
CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Containerization (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus)
Unit testing and integration testing (e.g., Jest, JUnit, NUnit)
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Effective communication and teamwork
Curiosity and eagerness to learn emerging tools/tech
Preferred technical and professional experience
Good to have - Mobile Hybrid and Native development
