Job description

Spacelabs Healthcare Canada Inc. is a leading supplier of Patient Monitoring and Cardiology products to the Canadian Hospital and Physician Office communities. Spacelabs Healthcare Canada is a subsidiary of our Seattle based parent organization.

As a hybrid Associate Account Manager (AAM) and Clinical Education Consultant (CEC), you will report to the General Manager of Spacelabs Canada. Your territory will be reviewed in detail upon your hire and is geographically in British Columbia and Northwest Territories.

The successful candidate will develop skills as both a CEC and an AAM. The position is suited for individuals with a strong clinical background and excellent communication and strategic thinking skills who are interested in exploring both clinical education and account management as career pathways.

Initially, the candidate will focus on developing a deep clinical application and operational understanding of all Spacelabs products through detailed CEC training, co-travel, and project experience. Once a foundation is established as a CEC, Spacelabs will introduce more sales exposure and training for the AAM component.

The individual will receive expert training in both roles and will work closely with mentors, management, and senior staff before assuming full responsibilities. The role is expected to be approximately 50% CEC work and 50% account management, with flexibility needed during workload peaks.

Mentors and managers will work with the candidate to prioritize tasks and provide support. As an AAM, you will manage defined accounts with guidance from mentors and managers. In your CEC role, you will work within your territory and on projects across Canada, as determined by your CEC manager.

Territory: British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan

Up to 50% travel is required, mostly driving within the territory, with some air travel possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and develop strong customer relationships in your territory.
  • Coordinate with local team resources, including FSE, CEC, Cardiology, Office Support, and management, to deliver high-quality partnerships.
  • Identify and document business opportunities, prioritize, and deploy Spacelabs' strategic selling approach.
  • Achieve territory business objectives through long-term relationships and satisfaction, maximizing value, and converting competitive accounts.
  • Collaborate with the GM and other account managers on key opportunities to optimize sales strategies and responses.
  • Complete training and adopt tools for product knowledge and strategic selling.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with quotas and market growth.
  • Leverage resources across Canada to support all product lines.
  • Maintain product knowledge and participate in trade shows and sales meetings.
  • Maintain accurate reports, manage CRM and sales funnel, and meet back-office requirements.
  • Strive to meet or exceed sales quotas, develop account penetration, and ensure territory coverage.
  • Represent Spacelabs Healthcare professionally and maintain high product knowledge.

AAM Responsibilities: Sales Administration

  • Report expenses, activities, results, and forecasts accurately.
  • Develop expertise in strategic selling tools, CRM, and sales processes.
  • Maintain sales literature and tools, prepare quotations and RFPs with support.

Company Assets Responsibility:

  • Maintain demo inventory, vehicle, PC, phone, and credit cards appropriately.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety policies, use proper equipment, and attend defensive driving training.

Overall CEC Responsibilities:

  • Assist with clinical demonstrations, evaluations, and education for customers, supporting the sales organization.

CEC Duties:

  • Be competent in all product applications and environments.
  • Provide customer training, support installations, and participate in staff training.
  • Communicate effectively and provide timely reports.
  • Support business goals and participate in product and clinical activities.

Responsibilities of All Employees:

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years as RN or RRT with certification.
  • 2+ years in Critical Care, Emergency, or Perinatal clinical settings.
  • Fluent in English; French is an asset.
  • Effective communication skills; industry experience is a plus.
  • Teaching experience and PC skills are assets.
  • Ability to travel extensively, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet vaccination requirements.
