What the day will look like

  1. Review bids and prepare sunshine letters, surety bonds, and invoice preparation;
  2. Lead by example and assist colleagues in delivering DAU to clients and prospects;
  3. Deliver continuous excellence in servicing an existing book;
  4. Collaborate with colleagues in Edmonton and Calgary branches to deliver the best of Aon to clients and prospects in need of construction advisory services and solutions;
  5. Identify specific client and prospect needs and develop innovative and cost-effective solutions;
  6. Ensure all procedures, internal client files, and correspondence are in compliance with Aon audit standards;
  7. Review and revise Surety facilities;
  8. Coordinate and oversee the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize activities and profitability in a value-based approach;
  9. Participate in industry-sponsored events and industry committees;
  10. Lead by example by demonstrating and sharing knowledge across all lines of business;
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within our Construction & Infrastructure Group [C&I] at Aon Reed Stenhouse in Edmonton, Alberta. As an Associate Account Executive, you will report directly to the regional Manager, Construction & Infrastructure, Kevin Whitson.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Our ideal candidate has some surety-related experience and excellent communication and relationship-building skills with diverse audiences.

  1. Meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task;
  2. A proven track record of prioritizing tasks under tight deadlines;
  3. Ability to work collaboratively as a key team member and independently with minimal supervision;
  4. Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office;
  5. Ability to learn quickly through self-directed learning and in-role training.
