Leon’s Furniture is seeking a self-motivated Full-Time Assistant Warehouse Manager in Canada. You will help support a busy warehouse, lead a team, and ensure safe, efficient operations across shipping, inventory, and delivery processes.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, and strong ownership. A positive attitude and willingness to grow with the company are essential; relocation is an option but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support the warehouse manager in the smooth operation of a busy warehouse (shipping/receiving, inventory, delivery, merchandising, packaging, maintenance)
• Assist in managing the warehouse team
• Ensure accurate and secure handling of product and balance large inventory
• Oversee maintenance and safe operation of lift trucks, bins, delivery trucks and service vehicles
• Contribute to training and people development
• Assist with interviewing and hiring
• Support scheduling and ensure provincial regulatory compliance
• Prepare, review and distribute warehouse reports
• Resolve customer issues and ensure safe product delivery
• Uphold company policies and procedures
• Lead health and safety and warehouse meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supporting the warehouse manager in:

• Ensuring the smooth operation of a busy warehouse with several areas of responsibility, including shipping and receiving, inventory, delivery, merchandising, packaging and maintenance
• Managing the warehouse team
• Ensuring the accurate and secure handling of product; balancing a large inventory
• Overseeing maintenance and ensuring safe operation of lift trucks, warehouse bins, delivery trucks, service vehicles
• Training and people development
• Interviewing and hiring
• Scheduling; ensuring provincial legislative requirements are met
• Completing, reviewing and distributing warehouse reports regularly
• Resolving customer issues; ensuring safe delivery of product
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are met
• Ensuring general safety and security of store and employees
• Chairing Health and Safety and warehouse meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

The starting rate for this position is $42,000 to $45,000 per year, plus bonus
