Leon’s Furniture in Ontario is seeking a self-motivated Full-Time Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the warehouse operations and lead a dedicated team. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and excellent service to customers.

Based out of our Burlington, ON location, the position offers competitive pay between 42,000 and 45,000 CAD per year plus bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package after 3 months and opportunities for growth across coast to coast.

Responsibilities

• Support the warehouse manager in day-to-day operations across shipping, receiving, inventory, and maintenance.
• Manage the warehouse team and ensure accurate handling of products.
• Oversee maintenance and safe operation of lift trucks and service vehicles.
• Schedule and prepare regular warehouse reports; train and develop staff.
• Ensure safety, compliance with provincial requirements, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the warehouse manager in:

• Ensuring the smooth operation of a busy warehouse with several areas of responsibility, including shipping and receiving, inventory, delivery, merchandising, packaging and maintenance
• Managing the warehouse team
• Ensuring the accurate and secure handling of product; balancing a large inventory
• Overseeing maintenance and ensuring safe operation of lift trucks, warehouse bins, delivery trucks, service vehicles
• Training and people development
• Interviewing and hiring
• Scheduling; ensuring provincial legislative requirements are met
• Completing, reviewing and distributing warehouse reports regularly
• Resolving customer issues; ensuring safe delivery of product
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are met
• Ensuring general safety and security of store and employees
• Chairing Health and Safety and warehouse meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Compensation:

The starting rate for this position is $42,000 to $45,000 per year, plus bonus
