Job summary

The Ian Martin Group is seeking an Assistant Technical Engineer for a 24-month, 40-hour onsite role in Pickering, Ontario. You will assist with the development and review of I&C designs for nuclear plant systems, preparing specifications, calculations and drawings, and ensuring compliance with codes and client requirements.

You will review schematics, wiring diagrams and control logic, assist with equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting, and coordinate

Responsibilities

Job Overview

• Support the development and review of I&C designs for nuclear plant systems and modifications
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, drawings and engineering documentation

• Assist with equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline
• 1+ years I&C engineering or design experience, preferably within the Nuclear industry
• Familiarity with nuclear engineering processes, design documentation and plant-modification requirements
• Strong analytical, technical writing and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
