What You Will Do

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operatives vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members' lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide exceptional customer experience at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Assist in building and leading a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency, providing quality service, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Supervise and motivate team members to meet productivity and customer service goals.
• Ensure the department is displaying, stocking and rotating merchandise as per company policy and standard with a focus on maintaining image and brand standards.
• Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practices to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal loss.
• Provide superior leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management and feedback.
• Adhere to Lake Country Co-op policies and government regulations, such as selling of age restricted items relating to tobacco, liquor, and lottery.
• Oversee the completion of daily reports, reconciliations, and purchases.
• Champion the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform minor repairs to assets as required.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Who You Are

• Possess Grade 12 education or equivalent; 2+ years experience in retail grocery operations, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and team supervision.
• Possess a flexible schedule; some evenings and weekends are required.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
