Job summary

Fueling Brains Academies in Walden is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our Senior Preschool team. You’ll work closely with the teaching team to create a safe, welcoming and engaging environment where children can learn, explore and grow.

You will support planned learning experiences, engage children in play and routines, observe development, prepare materials, supervise activities, and collaborate with families and campus leadership to support each child’s progress.

Qualifications

• Alberta ECE Level 2 or 3 certification preferred.
• Experience with preschool-aged children in an early learning environment preferred.
• Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate learning.
• Warm, patient and responsive approach to working with children.
• Ability to follow established learning plans, routines and safety procedures while taking initiative when support is needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and ability to build positive relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
