Job summary

Fueling Brains Academies at West 85th campus in Calgary, Alberta is seeking Lead Teachers for West 85th campus. These full-time, hourly roles lead three preschool homerooms for children aged three to five, with focused teaching areas: Jumping Junipers, Pondering Pines and Roaring Redwoods.

Lead Teacher - Senior Preschool | West 85 Campus

Compensation: $21-$26 per hour (plus top up)

Overview

You know the difference a great teacher makes. At Fueling Brains Academies, you’ll lead the learning in your classroom, bring your ideas to life, and help preschoolers build the confidence and skills they’ll carry into kindergarten.

We’re hiring three Lead Teachers at West 85th. Each position has a different teaching focus:

• Jumping Junipers - structured learning: Help children build focus, independence and problem-solving skills through purposeful activities and routines.
• Pondering Pines - creative learning: Bring imagination, storytelling, visual learning and sensory exploration into children’s day.
• Roaring Redwoods - movement: Use active play and movement experiences to develop coordination, body awareness and confidence.

These homerooms primarily serve children aged three, four and five, respectively. Each Lead Teacher also plans and teaches for all three preschool groups throughout the week, adapting activities to children’s ages and needs.

What You'll Bring

A vulnerable sector check and Emergency Child Care First Aid and CPR are required for the role.
