SSA Marine is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our SSA Marine Canada team. This full‑time, permanent position is based at our office in North Vancouver and reports to the Operations Manager, Ship Ops.
Assists in providing on‑site supervision of operations personnel including planning, coordination, reporting and follow‑up of ship loading and discharging activities in accordance with productivity, safety, and quality standards. This position is designed as a training and development role for the incumbent to potentially assume a Ship Operations Superintendent role. It will begin with shadowing Superintendents and learning all aspects of the role. The incumbent will assume responsibilities as they become proficient by developing and demonstrate their ability to perform the duties of a superintendent.
