Job summary

Park Property Management Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent (Live-in) in Scarborough, ON to manage daily administrative tasks and maintenance for multi-residential properties.

The base salary ranges from $28,000 to $30,000 annually, with progression based on knowledge, role complexity and performance.

You will handle on-call emergencies, coordinate month-end duties, respond to resident issues within 24 hours, supervise vendors, and maintain safe, clean records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience or an apprenticeship.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work on-site and live in the assigned unit.
  • Awareness of safety standards (OSH) and WHMIS.
  • Basic understanding of resident/landlord relations laws.
  • Able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour on-call emergency coverage on a rotation.
  • Coordinate month-end duties and turnover of vacant suites.
  • Address resident issues within 24 hours.
  • Accompany vendors and report progress to management.
  • Complete maintenance tasks such as plumbing, lighting, or cleanups.
  • Maintain accurate records and a safe work environment.
  • Strive to exceed service expectations.
  • Perform cleaning duties as assigned.

Assistant Superintendent (Live-in) – Scarborough, ON

If you are an Assistant Superintendent who takes pride in their work, we are confident you will enjoy a career with us. The Assistant Superintendent will contribute and participate in daily administrative tasks and maintenance for our multi-residential properties.

The base salary range for this position is from $28,000 - $30,000 annually. The starting base salary may vary based on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity, with opportunities for progression within the range as team members grow and develop in their roles.

What you will do:

  • 24-hour on-call emergency response coverage is required on a rotation basis
  • Coordination of month-end duties and responsibilities, including pre-inspection & turnover of vacant suites
  • Ensure resident issues and service requests are addressed within 24-hours (minor repairs and maintenance tasks)
  • Accompany vendors and contractors while work is being completed and reporting progress to the management office team as required
  • Complete maintenance as required. Some examples include, clogged sinks, lighting replacement and repair, toilets or flood clean up
  • Ensure operations records, files and documentation are maintained accurately and timely and in accordance with established procedures
  • Consistently maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Seek ways to exceed service expectations of residents
  • Cleaning duties, as assigned by Property Manager or designate

Who you are:

  • A minimum of two (2) years or relevant work experience or an apprenticeship or combination thereof
  • Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with team members, contractors, the public and residents
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally in English, both oral and written
  • High degree of diplomacy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Completion of high school required
  • Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety and WHMIS management practices
  • Basic understanding of all applicable laws, legislation, and rights concerning resident/landlord relations
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
  • Eligible to work in Canada and will be subject to a criminal background check
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a smart phone
  • Ability to work and live on-site, showcasing strong teamwork and collaboration skills
