Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness Calgary is seeking an Assistant Studio Manager to drive brand awareness, fuel the buzz, and lead a sales team toward studio goals. You will balance the manager's needs, learn studio operations, and help create a welcoming community for members.

You will generate ideas for events, execute sales and marketing initiatives, assist at the front desk, and guide new members through their fitness journey in a positive, fitness-minded environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales and customer service.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with members.
• Basic tech skills: Excel, Canva, Instagram.

Responsibilities

• Greet members with enthusiasm and knowledge on arrival.
• Present the Orangetheory concept to interested clients (intros).
• Operate front desk duties including phone calls and member interactions.
• Generate traffic and leads for studio growth.
• Give studio tours and guide intros through the first workout.
• Sell memberships to help the studio thrive and follow up with prospects.
• Address member concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Participate in marketing and outreach events and maintain studio cleanliness.

Job Hours

• Must be available early mornings (5:45am-2:15pm), mid day (8am4:30pm), evenings (1-9:30pm) and weekends (6:30am-2:30pm)


• Most hours will be mid-day

In your role as Assistant Studio Manager

You will create brand awareness, fuel the \"buzz\", drive traffic in your studio’s community, lead sales team to achieve studio goals. As the Studio Manager’s right hand, you will get to know the ropes as well as know your members’ names, step in when your manager steps out, balance each other’s strengths, and set goals and surpass them. You will generate ideas/events, execute and evaluate sales and community marketing initiatives. Social media content and marketing experience is a strong asset.

• Greeting everyone who enters the studio with enthusiasm, energy, and knowledge


• Presenting the OTF concept to any interested consumers, also known as \"intros\"


• Working at our front desk which includes answering phones and talking to members among other tasks


• Generate traffic and leads


• Giving studio tours


• Working hand-in-hand with trainers to guide intros through their first Orangetheory workout


• Selling memberships to help the studio thrive


• Following up on prospective clients


• Handling members’ concerns in a professional and objective manner with the goal of resolution


• Participating in marketing and outreach events


• Ensuring all areas of the studio are kept clean and organized


• Organize and prepare for studio events with strong attention to detail


• Basic technology knowledge & working with Excel, Canva, Instagram


• Communicate with Head Trainers & Management regularly to ensure team cohesiveness


• Guide new members with fitness goals, answer questions and promote wellness
