Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise and ensure store areas meet company standards.

You will also participate in opening and closing procedures, assist in payroll and scheduling, and help train Store Associates while maintaining a safe, friendly environment. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; train Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
