Lindt & Sprüngli Canada is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop at The Boardwalk in Kitchener. You will assist with daily operations, support corporate sales growth, and uphold excellent customer service standards.

The role requires strong communication, retail management experience, and a passion for chocolate. You will lead a small team, monitor sales and labor, manage inventory, and ensure store presentation meets brand standards.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education required.
• Minimum five years of experience in retail sales including management or supervisory roles.
• Experience in inventory control and order management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate Shop.
• Support development of corporate sales and growth.
• Monitor sales performance and labour to maximize store profitability while maintaining service standards.
• Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and hiring Retail Sales Associates.

• Reconcile cash, complete daily paperwork, payroll and store administration tasks.
• Develop knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expenses.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager for our Lindt Chocolate Shop in our brand new location The Boardwalk in Kitchener. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and a passion for sales and merchandising.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the management of the daily operations of the Lindt Chocolate ShopSupport the generation and growth of corporate salesUphold the values of exemplary customer service by modeling appropriate behaviours and establishing clear service standardsMonitor sales performance and labour requirements daily to maximize store profitability without compromising customer serviceAssist with recruitment activities including interviewing and hiring Retail Sales AssociatesSupervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales, and profitabilitySupport training on sales techniques and product knowledgeOrder merchandise and supplies in a timely manner with a focus on inventory management and loss preventionReconcile daily cash with sales receipts and complete daily paperwork, payroll, accounting, and store administration tasksDevelop and apply in-depth knowledge of products and sales data to achieve sales targets while controlling expensesSupport ongoing performance management, including assisting with employee performance reviewsMaintain store merchandising presentation in line with company standardsMaintain high standards for cleanliness and food and product safetyManage cash handling, inventory ordering, and related retail administrative dutiesRequirements and QualificationsPost-secondary educationMinimum of five years of experience in retail sales, including management or supervisory experienceExperience in inventory control and order management1 to 2 years of experience in a retail management role with 2 to 5 years of overall retail experiencePrevious experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry, preferredKnowledge of barista work and gelato or ice cream products, an assetPrevious experience in merchandising or visual presentationAbility to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent customer service and sales skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong computer proficiency in MS OfficeDemonstrated ability to go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer servicePassion for chocolateRewards Package:The standard hiring range for this role is $47K-$60K CAD per annum with a 10% performance-based bonus.
