Job summary

ACE Liquor Discounter in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and lead a high-performing store team. If you’re a strong communicator who enjoys coaching others in a fast-paced environment, this role offers growth opportunities in retail leadership.

You’ll help supervise staff, manage onboarding and performance, promote a positive culture, and work with the Store Manager on staffing, sales goals, and daily store functions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Support: supervise, coach, and train staff.
• Store Operations: open/close duties and staffing needs.
• Customer Service & Compliance: ensure regulatory alcohol sales.
• Inventory & Financial Support: assist with counts, ordering, and reporting.
