Job summary

A leading real estate property asset management firm in Mississauga is seeking an Assistant PM. Qualifications

Our client, a real estate property asset management firm located in Mississauga requires an Assistant PM to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first-point-of contact for tenants and superintendents
  • Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve issues/concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensuring tenants are in compliance with lease terms
  • Distribution of any rent notices or invoices

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Assist Property Manager (PM) with schedule/follow-up on maintenance requests and repairs
  • Coordinating and overseeing maintenance work on property site
  • Coordinate access for vendors/contractors to property and identify potential maintenance issues

Leasing:

  • Assist with leasing processes
  • Schedule property tours
  • Coordinating change in utilities account (move-out/in, new property acquisitions or dispositions)
  • Assist in changeover of tenancy

Accounting:

  • Maintain lease files and records
  • Maintain lease status and tenant receivable report (lease expiry dates)
  • Maintain tenant contact information report
  • Collection of invoices from vendors and provide to Accounting for payment
  • Assist with rent collection and follow-up, if any
  • Assist with preparing quarterly property reports and annual budget

Other Duties:

  • Assist with property tax appeals in coordination with 3 rd party Altus
  • Provide assistance to PM as required

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in property management and/or coordinator role
  • Valid driver’s license and must be able to drive within the GTA
  • Strong organizational and time management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
  • Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with property management software would be an asset
  • Quick learner and easy to adapt
