KenWave Solutions is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the initiation, planning, execution, reporting, and closeout of pipeline condition assessment projects.   • Graduation from a four-year university with a major in engineering or a related field
  • Eligible to obtain a Canadian P.Eng. designation
  • Eligible to obtain a USA TN Visa for work-related travel
  • 2–5 years in utilities, engineering, or project coordination
  • Experience with potable water or wastewater infrastructure is an asset
  • Experience with surveying, GIS, or technical data collection is an asset
  • PMP or progress toward certification is an asset
  • Valid driver\'s license with ability to travel across Canada and the United States

  • Develop and maintain advanced operational knowledge of KenWave\'s inspection technologies, equipment, and field procedures
  • Assist in tracking and maintaining project financials using billing and reporting systems
  • Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications to support inspection planning and feasibility assessments
  • Coordinate preparation of inspection plans and project documentation
  • Support hazard identification and collaborate with the Health & Safety team to ensure compliance
  • Assist with coordination of field crews, subcontractors, and third-party vendors
  • Support data collection and field activities using KenWave inspection platforms
  • Compile inspection data and assist with preparation of technical reports and client deliverables
  • Participate in internal and client meetings, helping communicate project updates and findings
  • Lead and support Health & Safety initiatives by promoting a proactive safety culture
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, operational efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Provide general project coordination, scheduling support, and administrative assistance across multiple projects

Assistant Project Manager
Role Summary

This role offers the opportunity to join the KenWave Operations Department to support the initiation, planning, execution, reporting, and closeout of pipeline condition assessment projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-scope, while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, field operations, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers in delivering pipeline condition assessment projects on-time, on-budget, and on-scope
  • Develop and maintain advanced operational knowledge of KenWave\'s proprietary inspection technologies, equipment, and field procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from a four-year university with a major in engineering or a related field
  • Eligible to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.
  • Eligible to obtain a USA TN Visa for work-related travel.
  • 2–5 years of experience in utilities, engineering, or project coordination (pipeline condition assessment experience considered an asset)
  • Experience with potable water or wastewater infrastructure is considered an asset.
  • Experience with surveying, GIS, or technical data collection is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to support project scheduling, coordination, and implementation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams;
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to assist in report preparation
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers and subcontractors, is an asset
  • PMP or progress toward certification is considered an asset
  • Commitment to client service and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Valid driver\'s licence with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States.
Work Environment

Office: Standard office environment

Site: Exposure to water/wastewater facilities, chambers, manholes, and subsurface pipeline environments

Hours: Standard 40+ hour work week

Travel: Ability to travel as required (up to 70%)

  • May require working outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights.

This is a non-management position. This is a full time position.
