The Department of Management Sciencein theShannon School of Businessat Cape Breton University invites applications for a10-month limited-time position in Business Analytics at the rank of Assistant Professor (or Lecturer depending on qualifications). This position will commence July 1, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and will end April 30, 2026.

The Shannon School of Business delivers an array of popular programs, including two undergraduate programs, four Post-Baccalaureate Diploma programs, and an MBA in Community Economic Development.
CBU is seeking collaborative candidates with demonstrated evidence of effective teaching and research in the field of Business Analytics. Courses assigned may include Database Concepts, Business Analytics Fundamentals and Data Visualization. Candidates should have a minimum of a doctoral degree in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited University. Exceptional candidates currently pursuing their PhD may also be considered for the rank of Lecturer.
CBU teaches programs on campus, off campus in locations across and outside of Canada, and on-line.The university and its partners will therefore provide opportunities for faculty members to teach in different modes in different locations as part of their regular workload.While these opportunities may not be available equally for all faculty positions in all programs, a clear willingness to teach in different modes and locations will be noted as part of your application.
Finally, the successful candidate will be required to participate fully in the collegial life of the university by accepting administrative duties within the department and participating on university-wide committees and governance bodies.
