Qualifications

• Ph.D. degree or ABD in a relevant area.
• Experience teaching reading and literacy in K-3 contexts is preferred.
• Expertise in reading pedagogies for young readers and emergent literacies.
• Ability to supervise and mentor graduate students.
• Active program of research or scholarship in early literacy and reading pedagogies.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Language and Literacy, and Early Childhood Education.
• Maintain an active program of scholarly research, independently and/or collaboratively.
• Supervise and mentor graduate students.
• Contribute to collegial governance through service on faculty and university committees.
• Engage with professional and broader communities.
