As an already internationally known hat brand, we are embarking on our next phase of growth, re-invigorating the brand and expanding into more apparel and non-apparel categories. The Assistant Product Developer is responsible for item creation, initiating tech pack with tech sketches, fabric construction details and BOM. This role supports the product development team on a daily, reporting to the Director of Design and Product Development.

Role and Responsibilities

• Follow up on sample timelines and execution under the direction of the PD Head for your category.
• New style creation and setup in our system, ensure data accuracy including stylenumbers and fabrication etc.
• Technical design sketching, trend and style research as required to support the team.
• Create and update style information in our style tracker and WIP progress documentsfrom the start of the season through to final receipt of bulk production.
• Organize and file submissions for lap dip, trim and fabric approvals
• Organize and tag all sample submissions
• Update and finalize production Bill of Materials
• Knowledge of fabrications, construction, fit and trim.
• Manage ad hoc reporting and miscellaneous projects as required
• Responsible for in bound and outbound packages. Shipping and receiving duties are adaily function.
• Complete style feature information and on-boarding of styles in your category.
• Passionate about being on the pulse of industry trends to create innovative premiumtravel and adventure apparel.
• Creating concept and design presentations are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design or Communications
• Strong attention to detail and proficient at multi-tasking
• Proficient in all programs in Microsoft Office
• Proficient in all programs in Adobe Creative Suite
• Tech savvy with strong ability to learn new systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact and communicate withindividuals at all levels.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
