Job summary

Farm Boy is seeking a Stores Leader in Kingston to deliver exceptional customer service, guide departments, and drive business results. You will partner with the Store Manager and Retail Specialist to execute strategies, build a trusting, high-performing team, and ensure policies are followed.

The role requires post-secondary business-focused education and at least 3 years of supervisory experience, plus relevant certifications or a plan to obtain them within six months.

• Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve, and Level A First Aid & CPR or plan to obtain within six months.

• Participate in store coverage rotations as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing duties and supporting emergency alarm response when required.
• Ensure adherence to all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to overall store success by undertaking additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post‑secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Completion of Public Health Food Handler certification, Smart Serve, and Level A First Aid & Basic CPR, or a commitment to obtain all required certifications within six months of hire.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining high performance standards.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in team engagement and development.
• Comfort learning and working with both manual and automated systems, along with experience using various computer software applications.
• Thrive in a hands‑on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
