Job summary

Dueck Auto Group in Metro Vancouver seeks an Assistant Parts Manager to lead daily Parts Department operations, optimize profitability, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across four dealership locations.

The role requires at least 5 years in automotive parts, GM experience, strong leadership, inventory expertise, and the ability to analyze financial data. You will partner with Service, Sales and Body Shop teams to drive results while upholding safety and brand standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in an automotive parts department.
• General Motors (GM) experience required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts and dealership operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and drive decisions.
• BC Driver’s License with clean record.
• Proficient with inventory systems and MS Office.
• Customer-focused with issue resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while maximizing department efficiency.
• Monitor and manage inventory for turnover, availability, and accuracy.
• Assist in budgeting and annual operating plan for the department.

We are seeking an Assistant Parts Manager to support one of our Parts Department operations within Dueck Auto Group. What You’ll Do

As Assistant Parts Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations and profitability of the Parts Department. Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating on building and maintaining strong customer relationships while ensuring the department operates at peak efficiency.
  
• Monitoring and managing inventory levels for maximum turnover, availability, and accuracy.
• Assisting in preparing, administering, and managing the annual operating budget for the department.
• Coordinating with Service, Sales, and Body Shop departments to ensure smooth interdepartmental operations.
• Handling customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  
• Maintaining strong relationships with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Assisting in leading regular team meetings and developing action plans to achieve department goals.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, company, and manufacturer guidelines.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an automotive parts department.
• General Motors (GM) experience is required
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory systems, and dealership operations.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and make data-driven decisions.
• Proven customer service focus with the ability to resolve issues constructively.
• Computer proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.
• Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
