Position Overview

The Assistant, Night Operations supports overnight residence operations, working with Front Desk, Housekeeping, Residence Life, and Public Safety to ensure resident safety and comfort. Responsibilities include attending to facility concerns, enforcing policies, supporting conference guests, and maintaining building security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address after-hours facility issues such as lock problems, leaks, and vandalism.
  • Perform minor repairs and safety clean-ups.
  • Log work orders and conduct nightly inspections.
  • Support summer conference needs after hours.
  • Respond to policy violations like noise and unauthorized guests.
  • Provide coverage at the Front Desk, supporting staff and residents.
  • Conduct building walks to monitor safety and security.
Qualifications
  • Two-year diploma in Hospitality, Law and Security, Social Work, or equivalent.
  • First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Minimum one year experience in building maintenance, security, hospitality, or residential environment.
Details

Hours: 35/week, Tuesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Salary: $24.96 - $29.02/hour, starting at $24.96

Location: North Campus (occasional work at Lakeshore Campus)
