Job summary

U-Haul is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Surrey, BC, to oversee daily operations in the General Manager's absence and lead a motivated team. You will allocate resources, ensure top-level service, and support customers with a friendly, professional approach.

The role emphasizes hands-on training through U-Haul University, flexibility across shifts, and the opportunity for advancement. Strong leadership and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

Run daily operations of center in General Manager's absence.   • Ability to work a variety of shifts
Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
