Overview

The Media Assistant is a vital member of the Planning team, focusing on insights-driven, measurable results. They receive comprehensive training and develop skills through hands-on experience. Key skills include analytical thinking, math proficiency, creative problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist planners and supervisors in managing and executing media plans across all media types.
  • Support the development and organization of data for plans and recommendations.
  • Communicate with local clients regarding tactical aspects of media plans and facilitate information sharing.
  • Manage contracts, insertion orders, and revisions with media vendors.
  • Input non-broadcast / OLV media buys and reconcile discrepancies, including actualizing media spend.
  • Assist with billing processes.
  • Update blocking charts, budgets, and summaries.
  • Support media research and coordinate with creative teams as needed.
  • Update competitive media reports and assist with presentation materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications.
  • Proven success during post-secondary studies and previous employment.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and math skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
