Banana Republic is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the tone for the store and lead the team in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. You will drive profitable sales growth through customer operations, merchandising, and talent development while collaborating with leadership to coach team members toward firm performance goals.

You will recruit and develop a high-performing team, manage assigned areas, and implement plans to maximize efficiency and productivity.

About The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you set the tone for the store and the team and help bring our brand to life for our customers. You’re responsible for driving profitable sales growth through all aspects of the store including; customer and product operations, merchandising, and talent development. You are responsible for supporting the execution of the store strategy to achieve performance goals. Through collaboration with your General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager, you will teach and coach behaviors to Leads, Experts and Brand Associates to cultivate a high performing team to deliver a best-in-class experience to our customers.

Who you are

• A current or former retail employee with 1-3 years of retail management experience.
• A high school graduate or equivalent.
• A good communicator with the ability to effectively interact with customers and your team to meet goals.
• Passionate about retail and thrive in a fastpaced environment.
• Driven by metrics to deliver results to meet business goals.
• Determined to effectively lead and inspire others to learn and grow through coaching and mentoring.
• Ability to travel as required.
• To be considered for this role, applicants must:
• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Not require current or future employment sponsorship to work in Canada.
• Be willing to learn and use technology tools, including mobile devices, apps, and registers, used in day-to-day operations.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to perform the essential functions of the role, including standing, walking, moving throughout the store, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
