The Assistant Manager (AM) supports the Restaurant General Manager in ensuring guest satisfaction through managing daily operations of a single restaurant. The AM helps manage financial controls, operations, people development, guest service, and compliance across shifts for desired outcomes such as increased sales, profitability, and employee retention. The AM has full accountability for restaurant operations in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager.

This position requires working long and/or irregular shifts, including extra shifts as needed. It operates under the direct management of the Restaurant General Manager and helps lead the restaurant team. This role involves interaction with team members, the Restaurant General Manager, outside vendors, field operations, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products within speed of service guidelines.
• Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with fast, friendly service in clean surroundings.
• Supervise and train team members and Shift Coordinators on stations, products, processes, and policies.
• Follow cash control/security procedures, assist in marketing, maintain inventory, manage labor, and analyze financial reports to improve results.
• Participate in recruiting, hiring, training, and retaining effective team members.
• Make decisions or recommendations regarding discipline and termination.
• Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain prompt and regular attendance for shifts, meetings, and training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
