We are seeking a TC Hire & Freight Assistant Manager, Post Fixture, to join our Montreal team. This role involves overseeing all aspects of time charter hire, managing rebills, verifying charter details, and supporting the Freight Team with freight, laytime, detention, and voyage rebills. Responsibilities also include managing receivables and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines for collections and processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee time charter hire processes for accuracy and consistency.
  • Prepare and review statements for hire, off hires, and rebills, collaborating with operators.
  • Verify details of time charter in (TCI) for compliance.
  • Follow up regularly to ensure process efficiency and resolve issues.
  • Reconcile accounts and chase payments for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Close files efficiently and collaborate with Payables for remittances.
  • Approve initial freight transactions and ensure data accuracy in VIP.
  • Process freight invoices, laytime, detention, and rebills with supporting documentation.
  • Maintain records and receivables summaries for workflow efficiency.
  • Support VIP system entries related to freight changes.
  • Coordinate with offices and teams handling freight invoicing and collaborate with Operations & Chartering for accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Experience or education in maritime shipping or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of time charter hire processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingualism in French and English preferred due to Montreal location.
